Do you believe in the power of positivity? I do
I have always felt that positive thinking during uncertainty
in life is like lighting a lamp in the darkness. It’s like a cure to the
cancerous depression and frustration. If you can calm the storm inside your
heart and brain with a positive thought there is nothing like it. I think more
clearly when I am calm and when I keep my mouth shut, Sshhh I do enjoy the
occasional outburst of emotions though.
At times our life can be as messed up as a festival ground
after all the festivities and negative thoughts are the ill-mannered visitors
who leave the mess behind. What we need to clean the mess is positive thoughts,
you don’t have to be an inspirational speaker to initiate a positive thought. All
you have to do is to believe in yourself, believe in the power of universe,
think about all the possibilities of life. I strongly feel that everyone should
be a believer of something or the other, that’s what keeps us going.
Now positive thoughts come naturally to a crazily optimistic
person like me, although at times nature takes its own sweet time, and that’s
when I decide to help myself (negativity is suffocating, so can’t wait much
longer, have to help myself). I go ahead and cry out loud, it’s the most
effective pain healer, not for the faint-hearted , :D. Ok reading, it can be anything from bible
to a comic book, an inspirational author to a comedian, a study material to a piece
of paper. Now I am more relieved, I heard someone say music can cure diseases,
why not try that. I am more lighthearted now, why not watch a good movie,
although I am a Hollywood fan, during my mourning period I usually prefer a
heartful Malayalam movie, choice is yours, nothing can beat Tom & Jerry. Now
you are in control of your emotions, best time to consult your friend or family,
oh yeah, wait till they tell you what to do.
By the end of the day, I am sure there will be one or more
thoughts that have caught your attention, it can be a dialogue by the hero of
the movie (in my case the villain) or it can be a copy pasted message from your
friend, but it sure has some meaning to you, now that’s your positive thought,
the one that has already started enlightening you. (You know sometimes a
billboard, an ad, even thinking about the scenario which gave you the messed-up
feeling can give you positive thoughts if you are ready to receive it).
